If you’re not sure why I’ve named my classroom The Hive, or why it’s decorated in bee-themed colors, it’s because I just love these little pollinators (and all the awesome fruits and veggies they help create). The devastating truth, though, is that bees are in danger due to climate change, pesticide use, and parasites. Albert Einstein once said that if bees were to vanish from the face of the Earth, that man would have only four years’ of life left…So it’s in our best interests to care about the health of bees and do our part to protect them.

That’s why I was so excited to read about a new product called Bee Saving Paper. It’s the perfect application of excellent design principles in service of the greater good. Check it out and be inspired about the ways that design can be used to create positive change.
